Russia launched drones into Ukraine last night, killing one person and wounding four in the Kiev region, Reuters and Ukrinform reported, citing local and military officials, BTA reports.
Ukrainian air defenses shot down 60 of 93 Russian drones, the air force said. It added that the signal from 26 drones was lost as a result of the use of electronic warfare equipment.
Acting governor of the Kiev region, Mykola Kalashnik, said a truck driver was killed by falling debris. Debris also damaged private homes and injured four people, including a 16-year-old boy.
The Ukrainian Air Force said Russian drones had been fired at nine Ukrainian regions. Residential buildings and commercial establishments were damaged in Donetsk Oblast in the east of the country and in Chernihiv Oblast in the north.
