The case against actor Hristo Shopov for threatening to kill was returned to the prosecutor's office. The court determined that there was a procedural violation, BNT reported.
This concerns the writing of the first of two murder threats to Hristo Shopov's now former neighbor - Patricia Teevs.
In the first case, the indictment only included the translation of the threat, but not the original in English: "I will kill you".
After the violation is removed, the indictment will be resubmitted.
The victim Patricia Teevs was also constituted as a private prosecutor. She has filed a lawsuit for non-pecuniary damages for 15,000 leva due to the loss of funds when she moved after the incident, as well as the loss of funds she had invested in the property where she lived as a tenant. She said she no longer lives there.
The court granted the request to separate the two cases. Thus, the non-pecuniary damages case will be heard by a civil court, and this one by a criminal court.
