On March 5, the Kula Regional Police Department received information about a missing 2-year-old person from the town of Kula. Operational search activities were immediately launched and numerous interviews were held. In the process, data was collected about a murder. It happened in the house where he lived. This was stated at a briefing by Petar Kotsin, director of the ODMVR-Vidin.
The murder was committed by a person with whom Mariyan lived. An eyewitness has been questioned. Sufficient evidence has been collected to press charges.
There is no stated motive. Due to hooligan and drunken motives. The murderer is from a minority group.
„We have no evidence that the body was dismembered, but it was set on fire, yes”, he specified.
The accused are outside the country. They were in the country for two days after the murder.
„A request for the issuance of a European arrest warrant will be submitted today”, added Vanya Nenkova from the District Prosecutor's Office - Vidin.
The accused are 29 and 20 years old, of Roma origin. The older one was convicted of theft and bodily harm.
The murder took place on March 3 in the city of A tower in a property where the victim lived in an apartment owned by one of the defendants.
On March 2, the defendants inflicted numerous beatings on the victim, and the next day they found him dead and decided to get rid of the body by burning it. They put the remains in a sack and threw them in a landfill.
