The Sofia District Court proceeded with the merits of the case against actor Dimo Alexiev, BTA reported. He is accused of driving while intoxicated while on probation for the same crime.
The case will be heard in the general procedure, since during the pre-trial hearing today, Alexiev refused to reach an agreement with the prosecutor's office and admit his guilt.
On February 19, the Sofia District Court imposed a "submission" measure of detention against actor Dimo Alexiev and did not proceed with the merits of the case. The reason is that he and his lawyer Mario Naydenov did not receive the indictment within the specified period. The imposed detention measure is subject to appeal and protest.
Aleksiev is accused of driving while intoxicated.
