A young man's body was found in the Balkan near Vratsa, BulNews agency reported.
The incident occurred this morning above the village of Zgorigrad, on the road to the “Plakalnitsa“ mine. Around 10:30 a.m., BKS workers were sent to clean the picturesque area of illegally dumped waste by the river.
While working, the employees came across a human body. They immediately called 112 and the place was blackened by teams of various special services. First, firefighters pulled the body out of the ravine and carried it to the side of the road. There is an ambulance, police and a forensic laboratory. A second ambulance arrived minutes ago to take the body away for an autopsy.
The deceased appears to be around 35-40 years old. There is a huge wound on his head, and there is a lot of blood on his body. It is yet to be determined whether he is the victim of a crime or an accident.
The scene is still being examined. A group of experienced forensic experts is expected to arrive at any moment to begin work on unraveling the tragedy.
