A 41-year-old woman was found dead in her home in the town of Balchik, the Dobrich police reported in their news bulletin.
It states that the report about the case was received on March 6, at around 5:25 p.m. The police teams sent to the scene identified a 45-year-old man with whom the woman had been living as a family.
The woman's body was sent for an autopsy to the Department of Forensic Medicine at the Dobrich Hospital. The 45-year-old man was detained for the crime.
The materials on the case have been reported to the prosecutor's office, and pre-trial proceedings have been initiated. Work to clarify the circumstances that led to the tragic incident continues according to the inventory of the Regional Department of the Ministry of Interior - Balchik.
At the request of the prosecutor's office, a preventive measure of "detention in custody" has been imposed on the 45-year-old man, said the spokesman for the Regional Prosecutor's Office - Dobrich, Dr. Daniel Iliev.
The man has been charged with causing death by negligence.
The circumstances and facts are yet to be clarified, which may lead to a more precise indictment, Iliev said. The autopsy revealed a severe craniocerebral trauma.
