Lufthansa cancels 12 flights to and from Vasil Levski Airport due to today's strike in Germany  - 1

The capital's "Vasil Levski" airport announced 12 canceled flights today due to the strike of airport workers in Germany, BNT reported.

Due to a strike, the airline "Lufthansa" is canceling the following flights to and from "Vasil Levski" airport – Sofia on March 10, the Sofia Airport Facebook page states.

The cancelled flights are:

  • LH1426 (Frankfurt – Sofia) 13:40
  • LH1427 (Sofia – Frankfurt) 14:30
  • LH1430 (Frankfurt – Sofia) 20:55
  • LH1431 (Sofia – Frankfurt) 06:00
  • LH1702 (Munich – Sofia) 13:00
  • LH1703 (Sofia – Munich) 13:45
  • LH1704 (Munich – Sofia) 17:45
  • LH1705 (Sofia – Munich) 18:30
  • LH1429 (Frankfurt – Sofia) 16:00
  • LH1428 (Sofia – Frankfurt) 17:00
  • LH1707 (Sofia – Munich) 06:00
  • LH1706 (Munich – Sofia) 22:30

The airport urges all affected passengers to contact the airline "Lufthansa" for more information and ticket revalidation options, as well as to monitor the current information on the website of "Vasil Levski" Airport – Sofia and the airline's official channels.

Protest actions are planned for Monday at 13 German airports. Among those affected will be travelers to and from Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Stuttgart. Over half a million people are expected to be affected by the airport shutdown. Airport authorities advise passengers to check in advance whether their flights will be operated. The mass strike is demanding wage increases and additional leave.
