The Sofia City Court determined the measures for the brothers Radoslav and Mitko Lebeshkovski. They were detained on suspicion of kidnapping two people. During the arrests, the police also found weapons.
At the hearing, epikrisis from 2024 were presented, which stated that Radoslav Lebeshkovski has diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure and coronary artery disease. For his brother, a decision of the TELK for depressive disorder was shown. For the first, the court ruled the lightest measure of detention - a signature, and for the second - a cash bail in the amount of 5,000 leva.
The court accepted that the evidence collected so far is not sufficient to prove that Mitko committed the crime of which he is accused. And regarding Radoslav - there is only evidence of illegal possession of weapons. The Sofia City Court accepts that there is no evidence that would be sufficiently convincing to connect them with the kidnapped Bozhidar Markov and Ivaylo Petrov.
On Friday, the prosecutor's office announced the arrest of the brothers, who were linked years ago to the kidnapping group "The Insolent Ones". The kidnapped and their captors are linked to a shipment of cocaine that came from a European port. It passed through Bulgaria on its way to Turkey, the police informed.
According to initial information, the motive for the investigation was the disappearance of about 160 kg of cocaine worth several million leva.
According to the police, the Lebeshkovski brothers involved in it did not act alone, but with the help of a Serbian citizen who is currently being sought. Unsettled financial relations are also among the versions being worked on.
