„I wasn't angry when I went to prison. There I saw my life and that of people with difficult fates in a different way. I have learned from my mistakes. My family reacted and we became more sociable, I spend more free time for them and friends. Cooking is a hobby, it is my kingdom and I forget about the rest. That's why I learned to allocate my free time better, I always wanted to achieve and now I learned to be patient”, says Tokev.

He was arrested after driving with a blood alcohol level of 1.9 at the end of 2021. In early January 2022, Chief Tokev pleaded guilty and went to prison following a plea deal with the prosecutor's office approved by the Sofia district court.

„Inside, I saw the other side of life, There are also people who do not know anything else, some do things unconsciously, because they have been taught to live this way since childhood. I loved cooking for them and showing them that delicious things can be made with the products they have there. And after I got out, I wasn't afraid, people even congratulated me for serving my sentence, says the chef.

Out of three restaurants, he has only one left because of the pandemic. But the work is no less. With new strength and realized mistakes, he also publishes a book in which he says that making a mistake is not scary if you learn a lesson.

„If there are no mistakes, there is no way to learn and have experience. We are taught from childhood to be afraid of them, but it shouldn't be, Tokev also said.
