The Serbian's match was not entirely easy, as the Italian made a breakthrough in the first game, and then consolidated it with 2:0. Musetti led to 4:2, but Djokovic still broke back in the eighth game for 4:4. The experience of the Serbian helped him reach another breakthrough and avoid a tiebreak in the first part.
The second set started with a flurry of break points, from which Djokovic came out victorious, winning 3:1. The second set was very dramatic with Tsitsipas leading 5-0 and his success looking seamless. However, Zverev saved two match points and then made two breaks to level at 5:5. The two played a tiebreak in which, however, Tsitsipas showed stronger nerves and made fewer mistakes.
