The Gibraltar Football Association plans to file a complaint with UEFA, Topsport reported.
The reason is the provocative celebration of the triumph of the Spanish national team at Euro 2024, the press service of the federation informs.
On July 14 "La Furia Roja" defeated England in the final at the "Olympiastadion", in the German capital Berlin.
During celebrations in central Madrid, Manchester City's Rodri and captain Alvaro Morata chanted "Gibraltar is Spanish", for the British-held territory, as thousands of Spaniards joined in the chorus.
"The Gibraltar Football Association has noted the highly provocative and offensive nature of the celebrations for Spain's victory at Euro 2024. Consultations are taking place this morning to make a complaint to UEFA about unacceptable chants and songs dedicated to Gibraltar. There is no place for such behavior in football", reads the statement of the association.
