The coach of the Bulgarian national team, who reached the bronze medals at the World Championship in the USA in 1994 , Dimitar Penev told Sportal.bg that there has always been respect between football players.
Today, the Penn squad is having a celebration on the occasion of 30 years since the greatest success of the "lions".
"I think that after these successes that we achieved 30 years ago, the respect has always been there. These people defended Bulgaria. Each one of them is smiling, they greet everyone and this is a great respect for Bulgarian sports, not only for football.
They can't help but think of us that we were one brigade together. We had the right to be their coaches and we contributed to Bulgarian football after achieving success at the European and World Championships," Penev said.
