Bulgarian defenders Valentin Antov and Petko Hristov played almost full 90 minutes for their teams Cremonese and Spezia in the second round of the Italian Serie B, BTA reported.
Antov performed at a level for Cremonese in the 1:0 success against Carrarese. Reserve Franco Vasquez scored the only goal in the 88th minute from a penalty. The Bulgarian was replaced in the third minute of added time.
Valentin Antov has been called up to the Bulgarian national team for the matches against Belarus and Northern Ireland, which will be played at the beginning of September. Hristov was wearing the captain's armband for La Spezia in the 2:1 win over Frosinone. In the last seconds of the match, Giuseppe Aurelio scored the winning goal.
