Etar has attracted a left-back from Ludogorets with over 150 matches in professional football, the club from Veliko Tarnovo reported, BNR reported.
The 25-year-old defender Dimitar Iliev is the first new addition to the "violets" during the winter break. The Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors, Lyubomir Filipov, and the player signed a contract for a year and a half.
Iliev was born on July 22, 1999 in Gorna Oryahovitsa, but is a product of the Litex and Ludogorets Academies. He is 177 cm tall and has over 150 matches in professional football. For 5 seasons he was a main player of Ludogorets 2, with short stays in CSKA 1948 and Botev Vratsa. He played 148 matches in the Second League and 5 matches in the First League with the teams of CSKA 1948 and Ludogorets.
"I received an invitation from Zhivko Zhelev, I liked the offer to be in Etar. This is a club with a great history, and its team should be at a higher level, it deserves to be in the "A" group. I have played against Etar, I have the closest contacts with Niki Yankov. My main position is left back, but I can also play as a left outside midfielder, I have also played as a right back. I am physically good, I lack playing practice, but after the preparation and the controls I will be completely ready. I hope to show what I am capable of and I know that I can. "To be alive and healthy, without any injuries, and the main thing I want is to play for pleasure and be happy with the purple team," said Dimitar Iliev after signing his contract with the Second League club.
