CSKA striker Ioannis Pitas scored the only goal for Cyprus, but received a red card in the last seconds of the match, in which his team lost 1:2 to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the world qualifier from Group "H", Topsport reported.
He also scored in Cyprus's last match, in the victory over San Marino.
The hosts took the lead in the 22nd minute through Ermedin Demirovic, who took advantage of a pass from Haris Hayradinovic.
In the second minute of Cyprus equalized in the first half of added time. Ioannis Kousoulos headed the ball, goalkeeper Nikola Vasil cleared it, but the ball went straight to Pitas, who shot it into the net from close range.
After the break, Bosnia took the lead again. In the 56th minute, Samed Badjar crossed sharply, goalkeeper Joel Mol did not intervene well, and Hajradinovic took the decisive shot, where the ball ricocheted and flew into the goal.
In the fifth minute of added time, Pitas received a second yellow card and was sent off, leaving his team with a man less in the final moments of the match.
