On March 27 (Thursday), 2025, Levski will hold an extraordinary General Meeting, sportal.bg reported.
The plans for the construction of a new stadium will also be discussed at the meeting. According to them, the new modern facility will be the most expensive in Bulgaria (200 million leva) and with a capacity of 20,210 seats with the possibility of increasing by another 3,000 spectators.
This became clear from the information presented by economist Petar Ganev and lawyer Todor Todorov in the studio "Levski na Levskarite". The two referred to documents they had read and provided to them by the club.
"There is a detailed investment program - what the sectors, shops, parking lot, where the room for medical personnel will be. There is a program for expenses, a budget, how much it will cost. There is a time schedule and a sketch of the project. A serious folder with documents.
Will we use sector “A”? No, everything will be demolished - the old stands and the new sector “A”.
How big will it be? The plan is for 20,210 seats with the possibility of increasing by 3,000 seats - if seats are removed.
The stadium will rather be similar to this Botev Pd - completely surrounded by stands and with an uninterrupted canopy, and not like Loko Pd and Ludogorets.
How much will it cost? The total amount recorded is 200 million leva.
Where will the money come from? There is no textual form of where the money will come from. This topic has not been touched upon. Two companies specialized in the construction of stadiums are mentioned, but as a partner, operator and manager. They are not mentioned and tied as a source of financing.
The prices are as of the beginning of 2024. The inflation factor is not included in the price formation. This plan was presented to the regional government in August 2024," say Ganev and Todorov.
