CSKA-Sofia defeated Loko (Pd) 2:0 at the National Stadium "Vasil Levski", and the two goals were scored by the Cypriot national Ioannis Pitas after the break, BTA reports. Pitas already has 4 goals for the "reds" in the championship and a total of five goals since he joined the team.
The first half was almost completely dominated by the "reds", who had more than 70% possession of the ball, but were unable to score. Several misses for Tomas' team were made by the central striker Ioannis Pitas. In the sixth minute, the Cypriot national received a good ball from Phaeton, who made a breakthrough from the left, but was unable to stop it and it escaped him.
Phaeton was among the most active for the hosts, making another breakthrough and a miss in the middle of the first half. Shortly after halftime, a shot by Skarshem was saved by the visitors' goalkeeper Bojan Milosavljevic. At the end of the half, the Plovdiv goalkeeper again saved a shot by Phaeton, and a shot by Delova went over the crossbar. A mistake by Lamy brought Pitas alone against the Lokomotiv goalkeeper, but the Cypriot slipped on the field at the decisive moment.
Lokomotiv only had one dangerous shot by Juan Perea after a mistake in taking the ball out of the "red" defense.
The second half also started with pressure from the home team, with Ioannis Pitas almost immediately brought alone against the goalkeeper and with his left foot he shot at the left post of the goal, with the ball returning to the field and being caught by the goalkeeper Milosavljevic.
In the 55th minute, Phaeton shot from a direct free kick, but the Swiss goalkeeper caught the ball again. In the next minute, Pitas was in the arms of his teammates. Jason Lokilo broke through from the right and crossed, and the left-handed Cypriot scored from close range with a side scissors into the goal.
Seconds later, Dimitar Iliev brought out behind the CSKA defense Julian Lamy, who tried to pass Lapouhov, but the Belarus national team saved.
In the 63rd minute, Lokilo passed, and Pitas found himself completely alone behind the defense and scored into the left corner of the goal for 2:0. Lokomotiv's defense raised its hands for offside, but the VAR system did not confirm that the striker was in an irregular position.
In the 70th minute, a shot by Mika Pinto from the "Reds" was cleared by goalkeeper Milosavljevic, and Pitas fired the extra time over the goal from a lying position. Before the end of the match, Pitas sent another shot over the goal and five minutes before the end he was replaced by Ioan Bornosuzov to the applause of the audience.
