Valentina Georgieva, silver medalist at the European Championships, won a gold medal on vault at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Osijek (Croatia), reports sportal.bg.
The Bulgarian had an excellent competition and triumphed with 14.149 points. For her, this is her first international start of the year after finishing fifth at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. China's Linmin Yu was second with 14.066 points, and Jayla Han (China) was third with 13.766 points.
In the floor gymnastics final, Edi Penev came sixth with 13.300 points, and first was the Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020 and vice-champion from Paris 2024 Artyom Dolgopyat (Israel) with 14.133 points.
On Sunday, Daniel Trifonov will compete for the honors in the vault and balance beam finals.
