Elite club to buy back smallest Premier League stadium to expand it - 1

Bournemouth will buy back its "Vitality" stadium so it can renovate and expand it, the Premier League club has announced.

"The Cherries" sold their facility in 2005 to brokerage firm Structadene, using the money to pay off their debts. At the time, the team was playing in League One (the third tier of English football). Bournemouth currently rents the facility, but the club has managed to establish itself in the English Premier League and dramatically improve its financial situation.

For this reason, owner Bill Foley believes it is time to buy back the stadium so it can be renovated and expanded. "Vitality" is the smallest stadium in the Premier League. Its capacity is only 11,286 seats. It has been the home of Bournemouth since 1910.
