Bentley plans to equip its future cars with an actual drone. Judging by the new patent, the flying device will be located on the hood and will be called the Flying B. The patent images show that the top of the small drone will bear the company's corporate logo and have four small propellers.
It is also noted that the drone weighs no more than 250 grams and it will be possible to charge it when it is under the hood. Bentley has thought of several ways in which a drone can benefit its owners.
For example, it can be used to find alternative routes in traffic, notify emergency services of accidents and potentially return the car to the owner if it is lost, for example in a parking lot.
Perhaps the most convenient option would be to send the drone forward to find a parking space. The drone can be controlled using the owner's phone, tablet or computer, as well as the car's infotainment system.
