According to rumors, Apple will release a new version of its AirTag tracking tool, and this will happen as early as next year. The first internal reports on the characteristics of the gadget have already appeared on the network: it is expected that it will be significantly more advanced than the current model in terms of its technical characteristics.
According to the Apple Insider portal, the basis of the second-generation AirTag hardware platform will be an ultra-wideband (UWB) chip, comparable in capabilities to the iPhone 15. The new version of the beacon is expected to have a three-times larger detection radius compared to the original model (currently from 10 to 30 meters in the open air).
According to other information, the new product is already at the stage of production tests. The design of the device will not change, but internally the gadget will be significantly improved - in particular, the company will make it more difficult to remove the built-in speaker so that fraudsters cannot easily get rid of it.
