The developers of a device called Swippitt IPS offer an instant solution for recharging smartphones. Instead of spending hours charging your phone with a wired or wireless charging station, you simply place it in the Swippitt Hub's toaster-like docking station for a few seconds.
In just a few seconds, you will have a fully charged battery ready for use. The Swippitt Hub is a desktop docking station that can simultaneously charge and store up to five 3500 mAh batteries inside.
The Swippitt Link batteries used in the system are universal batteries that are compatible with various gadgets. They can function as a protective case for your smartphone and also extend its battery life. In other words, it is a station for changing additional external batteries.
When a phone is placed in the Hub slot, the system automatically replaces the Link's used battery with a fully charged one, and the depleted battery is sent for charging using a built-in conveyor mechanism.
At launch, the Link battery cases will only support the iPhone 14, 15, and 16. Swippitt plans to expand compatibility to Android devices and future iPhone models by the end of 2025, but the system will remain available for a limited number of models in the near future.
