The cutoff of Western military aid makes it difficult for Ukraine to defend itself against constant Russian military pressure along the entire front line.

Estonian state television warned about this in its report.

In the conditions of shortage of artillery shells and air defense systems, the Ukrainian army may have to "shorten" the front line, leaving some territories behind, Estonian army colonel Jano Märk told ERR.

According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces is in a critical situation with air defense and artillery shells, and the aggressor knows this. In particular, the Ukrainian army cannot saturate the front with sufficient air defense systems, since these systems already cover Ukrainian cities.

"Russia is certainly trying to take advantage of any stagnation or uncertainty about Western military aid. The Russian Federation is stepping up airstrikes and drone attacks to undermine the West's willingness to help Ukraine, the colonel said.

Murk opined that it is difficult for Ukraine to hold the current front line with the resources available, so the length of the front line will probably have to be reduced if US military supplies do not increase.

At the same time, the Estonian army colonel is quite critical of the aggressor's capabilities. According to him, the Russians may not have enough resources to launch a new spring offensive, which has been talked about recently.

"If you look at the manpower, it appears that the Russian troops are capable of maintaining the current rate of advance and could possibly begin an advance in a new direction. But it's quite difficult to estimate the probability of that," the military said.
