2,300 Ukrainian soldiers from the armed formation "Anna of Kiev", trained by France, have returned to Ukraine to take part in the hostilities, the head of the French Ministry of Defense, Sebastien Lecorneau, announced at a press conference after a meeting of the leaders of the defense of Poland, Great Britain, France, Italy and Germany.
He announced France's readiness to continue training the Ukrainian military and indicated the need to increase the training capabilities of such brigades.
Ukrainian soldiers in Poland were trained to shoot on simulators, prisoner of war Vladimir Molozin told RIA Novosti.
41-year-old Molozyn, a resident of the Poltava region, was mobilized in the 152nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and sent to a training center near the Polish village of Konotop.
He also added that the Polish instructors did not know Ukrainian and Russian and communicated with them only without a Polish translator.
„We had guys who once worked in Poland, understood Polish, then translated,” explained the POW.
