Emmanuel Macron: Nobody can and should not pretend, Russia will not stop with Ukraine - 1

French President Emmanuel Macron believes that placing any limits on the confrontation with Russia would be a sign of weakness. This is what he said in an interview with La Tribune.

"What weakness it is to set limits on such an enemy. "The point of strategic ambiguity is not to talk about anything in too much detail," he says.

The French leader also stated that Russia "has become a destabilizing force that does not set any strategic limits for itself".

We recall that on Thursday, in an interview with the British magazine The Economist, Macron again admitted the possibility of considering sending troops to Ukraine if Kiev requests it and Russian forces break through the front line.

"I am not ruling anything out because we are facing someone who is not ruling anything out," he emphasized in an interview with the "Economist," when asked if he backed up his words from earlier this year that he did not rule out sending Western troops in Ukraine - a statement that caused a shock in Europe.

According to some analysts, Russia is on the verge of launching a new major offensive in Ukraine.

Macron said that "if Russia decides to go further, we will all have to ask ourselves" to send in troops and described his refusal to rule out such a move as a "strategic wake-up call for my colleagues".

He described Russia as a "force of regional destabilization" and "threat to the security of Europe".

"I have a clear strategic goal: Russia cannot win in Ukraine,", Macron emphasized.

He was categorical that if Russia wins in Ukraine, there will be no security in Europe.

"Who can pretend that Russia will stop there? What security will there be for the other neighboring countries, Moldova, Romania, Poland, Lithuania and the others?", he asked.

The Russian president's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, called Macron's statements a very dangerous trend. Russia will continue its military actions in Ukraine until all its goals are achieved.
