Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov explained in Monday, that the former Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu, as Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, will be the head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS), but not the immediate head, reports TASS.

"Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu will specifically lead the work of FSVTS. There is no question that he will be the immediate head of this office," the Kremlin representative said.

Peskov recalled that his immediate supervisor is Dmitry Shugaev.

As follows from the decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the structure of federal state bodies, the FSVTS was transferred from subordination to the Ministry of Defense to direct subordination to the President of the Russian Federation.

We recall that previously Putin appointed Shoigu, who held the post of Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation since 2012, as Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, relieving Nikolai Patrushev of this post due to his transfer to another job.< /p>
