Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan warned about the risks of a nuclear collision between the major powers because of the war in Ukraine. This was conveyed by Haberturk.
"This is exactly what we emphasized and warned from the beginning.
As long as the war continues, this risk will persist. There is no way to escape from it.
Each of the parties will be forced to use methods that will change the course of events.
There is a situation where the spark can spread to other places."
This was stated by Fidan in an interview with the TV channel Haberturk.
Fidan's comments come amid a fresh escalation in the war in Ukraine, as Moscow accuses the US and its allies of fueling the conflict by sending weapons.
