Ukraine will receive a new batch of F-16 fighters from Denmark in 2024, the country's Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen announced, quoted by the BBC.
"Denmark will deliver an additional batch of aircraft in the second half of 2024," said the head of the military department, without specifying exactly how many fighters will be transferred to Kiev and when exactly this will happen.
The first F-16s from Denmark arrived in Ukraine in early August.
At the end of August, one of the Western-supplied F-16s crashed in Ukraine.
This happened just three weeks after the first US-made aircraft arrived in Ukraine. The pilot, famous Ukrainian pilot Alexei Mes, one of the first F-16 trainees, died.
