British military leaders are considering sending servicemen to Ukraine to train soldiers, The Times reported, citing sources.
Small groups of British military instructors could be sent to western Ukraine "for intensive basic training of recruits before they go to the front line in the east of the country".
This would solve some logistical problems associated with sending Ukrainian soldiers to British training bases and save money, two sources familiar with the talks told the newspaper.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today (October 10) visited "Downing Street" for talks with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer as part of a tour of European countries to seek more military support for Ukraine's war effort against Russia, the newspaper said.
