The world is increasingly talking about the growing threat of nuclear war, not least because of Russian President Vladimir Putin's new threats against the West. Some also talked about the possibility of returning the nuclear status of Ukraine, writes Newsweek.
Russia has updated its nuclear doctrine with previous changes. Putin then said that Russia "reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in the event of aggression, including if an adversary using conventional weapons poses a critical threat”, Newsweek reported.
However, the United States of America has denied rumors of intentions to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine.
"We do not plan to arm Ukraine with nuclear weapons," the White House emphasized in a comment to Newsweek.
The White House reassured the Kremlin: We will not send nuclear weapons to Ukraine!
