Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed condolences to the families of those killed in a Russian attack with "Shahed" drones in the Kiev region, Ukrinform reported, citing a message by Zelensky on "Telegram".
He stressed that there must be accountability for every component used to produce drones and missiles delivered in violation of sanctions.
„Rescue operations in the Kiev region continued throughout the night after the attack with "Shahed" drones. Residential buildings in Brovary and Hlevakha were hit. Unfortunately, three people lost their lives. I express my condolences to their families and loved ones. There are also injured people who are receiving the necessary medical care. The rescue operation was completed by 9 a.m.,“ Zelensky said.
He expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian Emergency Situations Service, medical personnel, police and everyone who saved people.
“I also express my gratitude to every leader and every country that is putting pressure on Russia to stop this unprovoked and terrorist war. In particular, there must be accountability for every component supplied in violation of sanctions and used to produce drones and “Shahed“ missiles. Russia would not have been able to wage this war if its accomplices were truly limited in their support for this terror and frontline offensives,“ the Ukrainian president noted.
Earlier this morning, three people were killed during nighttime drone strikes over the Kyiv region, where shrapnel fell in two districts.
