The British company BAE Systems plans to increase production of NATO 155 mm shells for howitzers and self-propelled artillery installations 16 times, the "Times" newspaper writes.
It is claimed that London is currently heavily dependent on supplies of such shells from France and the USA. At the same time, the company wants to increase production volumes of hexogen, which is used in shells for self-propelled guns.
It is noted that BAE Systems is the only British company that produces such shells. Most of them were delivered to Ukraine, which led to an acute shortage in the UK itself.
