Mexico has expressed its readiness to cooperate with the US in accepting its deported citizens, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.
"We will always welcome Mexicans who arrive in our territory with open arms", the Mexican Foreign Ministry said after the White House announced that it had agreed to accept "four flights a day" with expelled Mexicans.
However, the Mexican government did not confirm either the arrival of the planes or the agreement to accept a certain number of flights with deportees, AFP noted.
"Mexico has very good relations with the United States government and we cooperate in respecting our sovereignty on a wide range of issues, which includes migration," the Mexican ministry said.
