Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to comment on claims that Syrian authorities have requested the extradition of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who fled to Russia last year after being ousted.
Peskov also did not confirm Syrian media claims that Syria is seeking compensation from Russia to "restore trust" after Moscow backed Assad's repressive government.
Russia has been a long-time ally of Assad and intervened militarily to help him reclaim territory from rebels during the more than decade-long war that broke out in 2011. after the suppression of protests against his rule.
A lightning rebel offensive late last year, however, forced Assad to flee Damascus in December - first to the Russian-run Khmeimim military base in northern Syria, then to Moscow.
The Kremlin spokesman also commented on the resignation of Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević. He expressed hope that Serbia could "resolve all problems as soon as possible and return to calm, organized development".
Peskov clarified that the Serbian government had not turned to Moscow for help due to the mass protests in the country and expressed confidence that the Serbian leadership was "able to deal with its own problems".
