The Ukrainian army has carried out a drone attack on the „Primorsko-Akhtarsk“ airport in Krasnodar region, causing damage to the facility. This was reported by the General Staff of Ukraine, confirming the successful strike, quoted by News.bg.
„We confirm a hit and an explosion in the area of the target. A fire has occurred. The exact results are being specified“, says the official statement of the Ukrainian military.
The airport in Krasnodar region is used to store, prepare and launch „Shahed“ drones against Ukraine. In addition, it is a logistics center for the repair and maintenance of combat aircraft operating in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
The General Staff of Ukraine states that strikes on military facilities that support Russian aggression will continue.
Overnight, Russian Telegram channels reported strikes on the Primorsko-Akhtarsk airport, and videos appeared on social networks showing a fire, probably in the area of the military airport.
Russian authorities have not yet commented on the attack.
Last night, there were also reports of strikes in the Krasnodar Territory, as well as a fire on the territory of a refinery caused by falling debris.
In addition, the governor of the Rostov region, Yuliy Slyusar, announced that Russian air defenses had been working against drones in the region. Drone attacks were also reported in the Astrakhan region.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that a total of 28 drones had been shot down or neutralized this morning. Most of them were detected over the Sea of Azov, eight were shot down over the Rostov region, six over the Krasnodar region and one over the Astrakhan region.
