Trump's special envoy: Chances of Ukraine getting nuclear weapons are "slim or none" - 1

US special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, said that the chances of Ukraine again possessing nuclear weapons are "slim or none", BTA reports.

He made this statement in an interview with Fox News, noting that rearming the country with nuclear weapons is pointless and that this will not happen.

Kellogg on Ukraine's role at the Munich Conference

Kellogg confirmed that he will attend at the Munich Security Conference (MSC) this year. He will discuss former President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in Ukraine. During his visit to Munich, Kellogg will hold talks with European leaders and report to Trump on the results of these discussions. He stressed that he will not present the plan publicly, as this should be the responsibility of the US president.

Zelensky on the possibility of nuclear weapons and NATO

At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan expressed the opinion that if the process of Ukraine's accession to NATO drags on for years or decades, Ukraine's partners should provide Kiev with enough missiles and even consider the possibility of “returning nuclear weapons“ to the country. He stressed that this is necessary to protect the Ukrainian people and to build a powerful army capable of deterring Russia.
