Earlier today, Trufanov and two other Israeli hostages were released after 500 days in captivity by the Palestinian radical movement in the Gaza Strip as part of a ceasefire agreement in the region, TASS recalls.
29-year-old Alexander (Sasha) Trufanov, who has Israeli and Russian citizenship, was released along with 46-year-old Yair Horn, who holds Israeli and Argentine citizenship, and 36-year-old Sagi Dekel-Hen - with Israeli and American citizenship. All of them were kidnapped during the attack on October 7, 2023, which sparked the war, Agence France-Presse recalls.
