"Hezbollah" has called on the Lebanese government to lift its decision to ban Iranian planes from landing in Beirut after Lebanon blocked the arrival of flights from Iran this week, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA.
"Hezbollah" "insists that the Lebanese government reverse its decision to ban Iranian planes from landing at Beirut airport and take serious measures to prevent the Israeli enemy from imposing its dictates and violating national sovereignty", the pro-Iranian Islamist movement said in a statement.
The organization also condemned Friday's attack on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), which wounded its deputy commander, Reuters added.
Lebanese authorities have detained more than 25 people as part of an investigation into the attack, which the U.S. State Department said was carried out "by a group of Hezbollah supporters.".
In a statement today, the Iran-backed group strongly opposed any attacks on UNIFIL forces.
