Billionaire Elon Musk appeared at a conservative rally near Washington, waving a chainsaw in the air, demonstrating readiness for an audit of the Federal Reserve and accusing Democrats of "treason", the Associated Press reported, quoted by BTA.
Musk, the CEO of "Tesla", who has become perhaps the most influential advisor to President Donald Trump, spoke about his crusade to reduce government spending and reduce government administration through the actions of the Department of Government Efficiency. He did so yesterday, as part of his participation in the Conservative Action Conference.
When he took the stage, he was introduced for the first time as a spokesman for this ministry, which caused a storm of approval among the activists gathered at the Conference. Before his appearance, he met with Argentine President Javier Milley, who is often praised by Musk.
After Musk appeared on stage wearing his signature black hat with the inscription "Make America Great Again", he said that Milley had a gift for him. Then the Argentine leader took the stage with a red chainsaw and handed it to Musk. It was engraved with Millais' slogan: Viva la libertad, carajo, which means "Long live freedom, damn it" in Spanish.
"This is the chainsaw of bureaucracy," he said.
Musk criticized the previous administration - Joe Biden's - for its immigration policy, specifically naming a mobile app that was used by nearly 1 million migrants to be allowed to enter the United States with two-year work permits. He accused Biden and Democrats of doing it as an "investment" to gain more support in swing states.
"A lot of people don't fully realize that this was a real big scam to tilt the balance of democracy in America," Musk said, before being asked by event host Rob Schmidt of Newsmax, "Isn't that treason?".
Musk replied, "It is treason."
When Schmidt asked him if he would consider auditing the Federal Reserve, Musk replied, "Yeah, of course."
"There's trash everywhere to clean up," Musk said.
The billionaire joked that the president of Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele told him he was worried about his security, and said he was open to ideas on how to improve it.
"President Bukele of El Salvador, who has managed to put in prison something like a hundred thousand murderous bandits, he called me. "I'm worried about your security," he said the Latin American leader told him. "I said, "Man, are you worried about my security?".
When asked to describe what was going on in his mind, Musk replied, "There's a storm in my head. It's a storm."
