A man was injured and taken to hospital last night after being stabbed on the campus of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, USA, the Associated Press reported, quoted by BTA, citing a police statement.
Police responded to the scene after a 911 call was made about a stabbing by an unknown man who was then seen running away on foot.
A short time later, law enforcement officials announced that the suspect had been detained and the alert for danger in the area of the university campus had been lifted.
There is no information about the condition of the injured man.
