Donald Trump stops military supplies to Kiev? How long will the Ukrainian army survive without US help

Even if the Donald Trump administration decides to cancel US military support, Kiev will be able to hold out on the battlefield for another six months, the Financial Times reports.

At the same time, drones of various types will remain the main weapon for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

According to the Financial Times, Ukraine is able to hold out on the front for another 6 months without US weapons. The publication notes that this opinion was expressed by Ukrainian soldiers, deputies and officials. They are confident that the main weapon for Ukraine in the war with Russia remains drones (UAVs).

Meanwhile, Trump has already instructed to "explore the possibility of temporarily or completely stopping the supply of weapons to Ukraine". This was stated by a senior White House official to the Wall Street Journal.

The US president gave this instruction immediately after the "tense meeting" with Zelensky at the White House.

"The sudden end of the meeting left unanswered questions about what military and political support the Trump administration is ready to provide to Kiev in the coming months", writes WSJ.

The conflict in the White House has also complicated the prospects for training European peacekeeping forces for Ukraine. Europe has previously signaled that such a mission would require military support from the United States.
