The new foreign policy configurations of the US administration are largely coinciding with the Russian one, the countries are voting together for a single UN General Assembly resolution on Ukraine, which was previously unthinkable. This was stated by the Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, quoted by TACC.

"The new US administration is rapidly changing all foreign policy configurations. This largely coincides with our vision", he said in a comment on the program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" on the "Russia-1" TV channel.

"Moreover, we are voting for a single UN General Assembly resolution that contains absolutely balanced formulations on the Ukrainian crisis. "This was truly unimaginable," the Kremlin spokesman added.

Earlier, the UN General Assembly voted on a draft resolution on the conflict in Ukraine. 18 countries, including the Russian Federation and the United States, voted against the anti-Russian draft resolution drafted by European countries and Ukraine. In the subsequent vote in the UN Security Council, with the support of the United States and Russia, a neutral resolution drafted by the American side was adopted.
