At least one victim was killed when a car crashed into a carnival procession in the German city of Mannheim on Monday, Reuters reported, citing a local police spokesman, BTA reports.
The spokesman added that one suspect has been arrested. It is not yet clear whether there are other suspects.
Police have urged citizens to stay out of their homes.

According to eyewitnesses, a black jeep drove at full throttle into people walking from the "Paradeplatz" to the city's symbol - the water tower, the website "Mannheim 24" (Mahhneim24) reported.
