In a phone call today, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis briefed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the positions Athens will take at the special European Council meeting on Thursday, as well as the EU's commitment to a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, the Greek government's press service reported, quoted by ANA-MPA, BTA reports.
The two leaders discussed the latest developments ahead of the upcoming European Council in Brussels. Mitsotakis stressed that strengthening the defense capabilities of the EU and Ukraine is essential, as is continued support from the United States.
The Greek Prime Minister confirmed that Greece will continue to support Ukraine in its efforts for peace and security.
