Overnight, the Odessa region was again subjected to a massive Russian attack with drones, the head of the Odessa regional military administration Oleg Kiper announced in the "Telegram" application.
Two people were injured in the attack, one of whom was hospitalized, the regional governor said.
According to his information, the civil and energy infrastructure of the seaside town of Yuzhnoye, located 35 km from Odessa, was attacked.
Damage was caused to an energy facility. More than 10 thousand residents of Yuzhnoye were left without electricity. All emergency services are on site and working to eliminate the consequences.
Damage was also caused to private homes and apartment buildings, the glazing of an administrative building was damaged, as well as at least 15 cars.
The Bulgarians in the Odessa region number over 150,000 people and are the third largest according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. About 50-60 thousand Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolgradsky, Izmailsky and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
