Member of the European Parliament and MP from the Alternative for Germany Maximilian Krach said that half of the Ukrainian refugees in Germany do not work, but live on welfare.
Krach said that in Poland the number of refugees who do not work and live on welfare is only 20 percent.
“It is obvious that we are doing something wrong, because we are too generous with this social support“, the MEP noted.
The MP added that support for Ukraine is destroying Germany's economy. He accused the country's government of lacking an action plan after the conflict.
Germany previously admitted that it had reached the limit of its military aid to Ukraine. This was stated by the representative of the German Ministry of Defense, Michael Stempfle. According to him, military assistance to Kiev and strengthening of its own defense capabilities should be considered in parallel.
