Differences between nations should be a source of strength, not problems. This message will be delivered by Britain's King Charles III on the occasion of Commonwealth Day celebrations on Monday, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
In his message, the 76-year-old monarch, who heads the Commonwealth of Nations (formerly called the British Commonwealth), which includes 56 independent states, will talk about the importance of uniting nations, according to excerpts of the speech published by Buckingham Palace.
"In these uncertain times, when it is all too easy to believe that our differences are problems rather than a source of strength and opportunity for learning, the remarkable collection of nations and peoples of the Commonwealth come together in a spirit of support and, crucially, friendship,", King Charles III said.
"The Commonwealth's ability to unite people from all over the world has stood the test of time and remains as important and today", the British king notes.
