Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia has carried out over 2,100 airstrikes against Ukraine in the past week, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
In a post on social networks, Zelensky reported that Russian forces used 1,200 guided aerial bombs, nearly 870 unmanned aerial vehicles and over 80 missiles of various types, also emphasizing that a large number of Russian weapons rely on components manufactured abroad.
"Every "Shahed" drone and aerial bomb that Russia uses contains components supplied by circumventing sanctions. These weapons include more than 82,000 foreign components," Zelensky wrote, calling on allies to tighten and enforce existing trade restrictions. While the total number of attacks is down slightly from the previous week, when Russian attacks totaled 2,300, the number of missile strikes has more than quadrupled, according to Zelensky's count.
