The delegations of Ukraine and the United States began their meeting today in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, quoted by Ukrinform, BTA reports.
"A meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations has begun in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia," the Ukrainian ministry reported on "Telegram".
Ukraine is represented by the head of the presidential administration Andriy Yermak, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, and Zelensky's deputy chief of staff Pavlo Palisa.
The American side is represented by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, White House National Security Advisor Mike Walz, and President Trump's special envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff.
Volodymyr Zelensky expressed confidence that the meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia will be productive, Ukrinform adds.
Reuters notes that the meeting begins two weeks after the sharp verbal clash between the leaders of the two countries in the White home.
A video released by the Foreign Ministry shows Ukrainian officials heading to the meeting.
