Pope Francis is in stable condition, with an X-ray confirming that his condition is improving, the Vatican announced today in its evening update on the health of the head of the Roman Catholic Church, ANSA reported.
The Holy Father's condition is generally complex. However, a chest X-ray yesterday confirmed radiologically the improvements reported in recent days.
This morning, the Vatican said that the 88-year-old pope had spent a peaceful night at the "Gemelli" hospital in Rome, where he was admitted nearly a month ago.
Tomorrow marks 12 years since Francis became pope.
